In September last year something incredible happened in the town of Tamil Nadu, India that saw people flocking from all parts of India towards that town.
What happened that month was the birth of a three-eyed calf. Have you ever seen a calf with three eyes before? If you haven’t, then I suggest you go to Tamil Nadu and you’ll see one for yourself.
The calf, which obviously has now grown into a cow goes by the name Shiva and is considered a deity by many locals.
According to reports coming from the country, the birth of Shiva was considered by many as a sign of good omen and a blessing from the Hindu gods.
According to the owner of the calf (now a cow), Shiva is a reincarnation of a Hindu god by the same name Shiva. The Hindu god Shiva is believed to have had three eyes just like the calf (now cow) Shiva, which is obviously the reason why the strange animal was named after the god.
Shiva, the animal, has its third eye in the middle of its forehead – a deformity which has alluded many scientists.
It might interest readers to know that since Shiva, the cow is considered a deity or a god by the locals, people flock from all over Tamil Nadu and its environs to come and pray to it. Some even go ahead and touch it with the belief that doing so will bring them good fortune in life.
What do you think about the three-eyed calf, Shiva? Do you think there is something spiritual about Shiva or that Shiva’s third eye is nothing but a mere deformity?
Can’t help but wonder what you think.
