Legendary singer Stevie Wonder became officially an umarried man on Monday after a Los Angeles judge finalized his divorce from his second wife, fashion designer Kai Millard Morris.
Under the divorce settlement, 65-year-old Wonder and Morris will share custody of their two sons, aged 14 and 10. Wonder will also pay an amount of $25,000 a month for their two children.
According to TMZ (who somehow managed to lay their hands on the divorce settlement), Wonder will be allowed from time to time to take his kids on the road with him during his tours.
Wonder and Morris got married in 2001 and separated in 2009. Wonder went on to file for divorce in August 2012.
Wonder is currently in a relationship with a woman named Tomeeka Robyn Bracy, with whom he has two young children.
Below is a picture of Wonder and Tomeeka at the 2015 Grammy Awards in February.
Wonder’s first marriage was to Motown singer/songwriter Syreeta Wright. The marriage lasted from 1970 to 1972. According to Wonder, he was introduced to Transcedental Meditation (a form of mantra meditation) by Wright. Wright died at the age of 57 on July 6, 2004 of congestive heart failure.
By the way, it’s worth noting that in signing the divorce settlement, Wonder decided to use his thumbprint instead of a signature.
