The power of water should never be underestimated. Water is life and there are no two ways about that. The benefits that we derive from drinking lots of water every day are numerous – so many that if we were to write about it, it would fill a book. Ok let us cut to the chase and see how our skin benefits when we constantly drink lots of water.
But before we begin talking about how drinking enough water benefits the skin, it must be known that not everyone agrees that drinking 8 glasses of water a day enhances the appearance of the skin. Some schools of thought however agree that the skin derives a lot of benefits when we constantly drink water on a daily basis. I agree that drinking 8 glasses of water a day can significantly help the appearance and health of the skin. And I know many other health experts who also agree drinking plenty water on a daily basis has positive effects on the skin.
But why do I have this great conviction that water is good for the skin? I say this not because some skin expert told me or because I read it somewhere. I say this because I have tried and have experienced the power of water on my skin. It has worked for me, it is working for me and will always work for me.
How drinking water can help the skin
Do you know that your body is made up of about 60 percent of water? It therefore goes without saying that water is the most important thing needed for the body. When your body gets the proper amount of water that it needs, it will feel better and of course look better. Why will drinking lots of water make your body look better? There are several reasons why the body will look better when you constantly drink lots of water.
The following are the major effects of drinking lots of water on the skin:
- Water will flush out bad toxins from the body and keep your entire system healthy. We all know that the appearance of your skin would largely depend on how healthy your whole system is. Therefore if water helps in flushing out bad toxins from your body that would have otherwise caused great harm to your body, it goes without saying that water contributes to keeping your skin healthy and fine.
- Drinking lots of water on a daily basis helps to improve blood circulation and flow. According to scientists, when blood is circulating and flowing very well in the body, then the skin looks more beautiful and becomes healthier.
- Taking in lots of water also helps in carrying nutrients to all cells of the body, making the body healthy and looking its best.
The above are some of the major reasons why when you regularly drink lots of water, your skin becomes healthy and beautiful.
Like I said above, there are some schools of thought that would not agree with me on the importance of water on the skin. I’m using this platform to disagree with them as I have personally noticed how much drinking lots of water has had a positive effect on my skin. My skin never looked the best, but since cultivating the habit of drinking lots of water regularly (at least 8 glasses of water a day) I have noticed an extraordinary improvement in my skin. My skin now appears radiant and healthy. The enormous change my skin went through led so many of my friends to ask me what cream I have been using on my skin to make it this beautiful but I tell them I use nothing but water. Some found it hard to believe whereas others believed me and gave it a try and now these people thank me every day. But I tell them not to thank me. If they want to show any gratitude at all, they should show it to water!
I recommend water for everyone who wants to get a healthy body and of course a good-looking skin. Remember water is life!
