News reaching us has it that the Philadelphia Eagles have just released Tim Tebow in a move that has sadly ended the 28-year-old quarterback’s bid to win the Eagles’ No. 3 quarterback job.
Tebow’s release from the Eagles indeed came to many as a huge shock considering the fact that many strongly believed that the 28-year-old had a good chance for a roster spot in the Eagles.
Tebow’s sudden release from the Eagles came after the ultimatum given to all NFL teams to cut down their rosters to only 53 players per team by September 5, 2015.
The release currently leaves the Eagles with only two quarterbacks on their roster. At the moment we can’t tell whether the Eagles will acquire another quarterback or not.
It’s worth noting that Tebow signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in April this year. It is therefore sad to see the young talent cut loose this way.
